We are seeking a qualified Director/Registered Nurse to lead our Women’s Services Unit for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care.  Our labor, delivery and recovery (LDR) rooms offer patients an atmosphere more like home than a hospital and the latest in state-of-the-art equipment.  Sumner Regional Medical Center has been voted the Best Place to Have A  Baby for 8 consecutive years!  We have an excellent medical staff of obstetricians, pediatricians and family practitioners, as well as experienced and well-trained nurses who welcome more than 700 babies into the world each year.

 


The Director of Women's Services directs the departments (L&D, Women's and Nursery) activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.


 


 


Sumner Regional Medical Center (SRMC) has been providing quality health care to Gallatin, Hendersonville and the surrounding areas for 60 years. Since opening in 1959 as Sumner County Memorial Hospital, SRMC has grown from a facility with just 50 employees and seven physicians to a comprehensive health care leader in the community with more than 1,000 employees and 300 physicians.

Required Qualifications :

Job Requirements


Minimum Education


Bachelor’s degree in Nursing - Required


Master's degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration - Preferred


 

Required Skills


Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer skills required.

 

Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association training center is required to be obtained with 6 months of employment, if not current upon hire.
NRP certification is required within 12 months of employment, if not current upon hire.


Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure – Required

 

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum 5 years nursing experience required, with at least 3 years of Labor & Delivery/Mother/Baby experience. .Management/Leadership experience desired.
